Gannett Peak Partners was founded by Phil Kluesner in October 2004. After 18 years with other real estate
service providers Phil had a desire to focus solely on representing the interest of tenants, free from the conflicts of interest inherent in traditional in “full service real estate firms”.
Phil began his career as a property manager in 1986 with Welsh Companies (now Colliers) gaining a keen understanding building operations and operating expense reconciliations. In 1990 Phil became a broker representing institutional owners such as Prudential Insurance, Teachers TIA, Provident Mutual, to name a few. During this time Phil presented twice in the annual National Association of Office and Industrial Properties market update. In 1997 Phil was hired as a Vice President for Duke Realty Corporation, one of the nation’s most prominent commercial real estate development companies. While at Duke, Phil was responsible for over 2.75 million square feet of owned product and the development of Dukes owned land. He was a Master Club Member in 1998, 1999, 2000 and 2001 as one of the top five sales people within Duke.
GPP has developed strategic relationships with some of the industry’s best industry providers in the fields of interior design, construction, relocation management and economic development incentive procurement to fully implement strategies that will reduce occupancy costs, improve space efficiency, and maximize employee productivity.
Phil has represented more than 425 businesses in transactions locally and around the country. Today, Gannett Peak Partners is known to be one of Minnesota most respected tenant representations firms in the state. Phil graduated from St. Mary’s University where he received degrees in Accounting, Economics and Education. He is a member of the Minnesota Association of Realtor and the Minnesota Commercial Real Estate Exchange. He is avid biker, mountain climber and tennis player living in Minneapolis with his wife and four children.
